Good morning, Flippers!
If you're into finding awesome stuff and turning it into cold, hard cash, you're in the right place. Our weekly newsletter is your ticket to uncovering awesome opportunities for automotive flipping across the country. From hidden gems to trending items, we've got the inside scoop on how to make money and how to have fun doing it. Let's make some serious dough together!
This week’s newsletter is short and sweet. It’s getting tough to find a good deal that stays on the market long enough to feature in a weekly newsletter…
Warning - some elbow grease may be required.
1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo - Elyria, Ohio - $7,600
This car appears to have everything that a buyer wants when searching for the perfect example of a W123:
light ivory (taxi yellow) paint, and no rust or body damage
automatic windows, door locks, and sunroof - functioning
a seller that actually knows what the vacuum system is
an asking price with no more than four digits…
The last few W123 300D examples have sold on Bring A Trailer for between $9,600 with hideous “Champagne Metallic” paint, and $38,750 for light ivory, low miles, and sienna interior. Another one sold a few days ago for $15,000 in nearly identical spec to the one featured above…
Wagons command a premium, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun in a sedan!
Flipping Trick of the Week
REUPHOLSTER YOUR ATV SEATS
90% of the time, when you buy a cheap secondhand ATV the seat is going to look similar to the above photo.
Watch a Youtube video or two, purchase at least three times as much material as you think you’ll need, and get yourself a nice staple gun.
Reupholstering the seat is the single best thing you can do as far as Craigslist Curb Appeal for your ATV, and it’s a great thing to look out for on used bikes.
A quad with a torn seat cover means you can negotiate a low purchase price, and you can very easily add quite a bit of value back into the machine with relatively minimal effort.
Quote of the Day
